  "This was my 2nd visit to the Frederick, the first was with my wife, this visit was on a Katy Trail ride. (The Katy, by the way, is about 50 yards from the hotel). The hotel has been amazingly restored, beautiful copper hot water pipes run down the hall and into the rooms. Don't forget to check the c..."lever way that the hot water pipes double as a towel heater. The furnishings match the period of the hotel, and the beds are very comfortable. The room had a large bath with crafted soaps and shampoos. This hotel can be a romantic getaway or just a comfortable and interesting hotel depending on your visit. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. Continental breakfast in the morning was included and very good. And the seating is much more personable than you'll find in a chain hotel. If you have time to relax, notice the construction and beauty of the hotel or just sit in the lobby and read and enjoy a drink.   "Unexpected Stay"
  "We were not expected to stay here but could not get a room at the hotel of our choice. The check in was great, the room was great. The breakfast was great. Why I don't stay at Holiday Inn...because they are not pet friendly. It was either stay here or hike it back to Columbia and be farther away..." from our friends. I was not pleased with the parking. There were large trucks w/trailers taking up many parking spots which caused cars to park on the road curb. I feel the trucks and trailers should have been on the outside curb. If I'm not mistaken only 3 handicapp spots. " More >
