  "This hotel is now called Hastings Country Inn and Suites. It is no longer part of the Carlson chain. In our travels through Hastings to visit family we have stayed at this property twice over the past three years. Previously it was called Country Inn and Suites and was part of the Carlson chain. ..." When Carlson made the decision to go green and require their hotels to make major changes this hotel made the decision to leave the chain. This is still the same quality of hotel that it was when it was part of the Carlson chain. The breakfast bar always had hard boiled eggs on it, which was important to me being I require protein in the morning. They had a good assortment of cold cereal, muffins, fruit and juice. We stayed in a King Suite without a Jacuzzi. Our room number was 208. It was an "L" shaped room with a door separating the bedroom from the couch and kitchenette area. Very quiet and comfortable.
