  "Hey, warm place, shower and toilet, could not really ask for much more during our winter stay for snowmobiling. Staff is great and accomodating with extra bed quilts and such. Note to summer travelers, this motel is aways from the lakeshore, so know that in advance. As some other reviewers have mentioned, sometimes the flies get pretty thick, but this is of no fault of the properties up here but more of a natural and cyclical occurance. If you need a place to sleep and shower for 1+ days, Curlys is a good value. It is not Comfort Suites, Holiday Inn Express, etc., but a down to earth Mom and Pop motel in a superb location at a fair price. " More >

It is very clean and well maintained. We chose Room #3 the Assistant Chief's room. What a great view! The bed in the room was very comfortable. The bathroom was very spacious and clean. Surprising with the waves and the wind that you don't hear any of it in the room. No drafts. Very nice. Breakfast was included and is self service. There was a good variety and plenty of food available. Once the staff leaves you have full run of the grounds. The view and stars at night are amazing!!
