Our honeymoon suite, overlooking the beautiful Dordogne river, was one out of a fairy tale. It was tucked away to a private corner of the house & had its own full bathroom which was just as beautiful & comfortable as the room itself. Each morning, Cheri greeted us with a wonderful French breakfast. Brian is a wealth of knowledge for the local history, and a wonderful guide to the local attactions. They are well situated near historic castles and churches. Top marks to Maison Porte del Marty - Brian and Cheri have a winner here! We highly reccomend them to EVERYONE travelling to the area. We stayed at several B&B's, many of which were near Sarlat and Bordeaux, but this one was by FAR our favorite! Cheri and Brian are just amazing peo..."ple. They made us feel like we were visiting close friends! They are so into what they are doing, and rightfully so because their house is amazing. And they are so knowledgable about the area, sharing things with us that were just so interesting. They even invited us to join them for a local night market-dinner which was so fun!
