The hot water was back on before morning. I appreciated very much that they kept us up to date with what was going on and they gave us the option of a free meal for two or a $100 gift certificate for our next visit as compensation for the inconvenience. It's a short walk to the lighthouse and the beach and also to the shops and restaurants of Edgartown. I look forward to returning and using that gift certificate just as soon as I can. " More >

This was maybe an early season operational issue in the kitchen that can be easily fixed. On the plus side every staff member we encountered was courteous, including our first evening when we turned up at Henry's restaurant just as the kitchen was closing. She went out of her way to let me know the most economical way of spending time on the island (called ahead to get the address of the parking lot so we could leave our car on the mainland) and explained how we could hop on the bus just down the street to get you anywhere on the island for just $7 to ride anywhere all day long.
