"I wish I could have canceled my current plans as we love to fish! The rustic appeal was charming and reminds me of "Old Florida" upon inspection the rooms were clean and warm feeling. (much less than we were paying to stay over the bridge on the island) Bob, Edda are WONDERFUL and CARING to take in..." a friend in need. (Alton, has a couple of Angels) Will have to stay there
in the future.

"My husband and I vacation here every year with our family. I used to vacation here with my parents as a child. If you are used to the finer more classy way of living then this is definitely not for you. This is a place to go and relax. Get back to nature and a more simple way of life. Life the way i..."t used to be. The rooms are clean and more like cabins. The owners are absolutely amazing people. They took in a man while i was there that had nowhere to go. How many other places can you say that about? They are compassionate. I would not dare spend one dime at any other hotel. Because its hard to find people like this nowadays. Not only that but my boys (11 and 9) enjoy every second we are there. They love Mr Bob and Mrs Edda. They take the time to talk to you. It gives my boys more undisturbed one on one time with us.We also enjoyed being able to fish off the dock. The peacocks are beautiful. And I would not recommend the average person stay anywhere else

"We stayed the weekend of the storm, it was quiet until the wind blew tree on the roof of building across from us. That was scary, I' m sure, it was a waterspout off bay!
My husband was mad at me, for telling him not to bring fishing rod! Next time he will have fishing license, and rod!!!! Takes a ..."day, to get use to Peacocks, but they are interesting to watch. He took some great pictures of the animals.
The rooms were clean, housekeeping staff friendly. You have everything in case, you want to cook. Mrs Edda is very nice, answers all your questions. The area, has several good places to eat. We only wish we had been there longer. We enjoyed the area, and will be back in fall.
