The service staff for breakfast are amazing!! Dalia and Letti hussled clearing tables and offering to make peoples waffles in the morning. (I have never seen a better breakfast staff at a select service hotel.) The hotel does not have many restaurants nearby. There is a Togo's at the gas station beside the hotel (which closes at 7PM). A business park and an airport are close by. Charming old town Truckee is not that far away -- maybe 3 miles. There is also a more mainstream suburban Truckee that is two exist stops away on I-80. Again, a few miles. Would clearly stay there again. " More >

  "Formerly the Larkspur Inn, this hotel was a pleasant surprise on our trip through California Gold Country and the Lake Tahoe region. We spent a total of 6 nights on the road; this spot was the perfect location for our Truckee visit. The lemon and lime ice cold water at check in was such a nice color..."ful touch. White thick towels at this hotel were a welcome sight after a few nights of seeing thin and tattered towels at other places. The in room coffee was great, and the breakfast was far better than average. Staff all seemed friendly and they did their best to honor my request for a quiet room away from as much noise as possible. The room rate did not seem exorbitant and we will definitely return on our next visit to the Tahoe area! " More >
