  "I generally avoid the whole B&B-thing as I like privacy and generally prefer newer facilities without so much "character" (IE old furnishings, carpet, creaky floors and beds, etc.) But we didn't want a cookie-cutter Best Western-rooms-facing-the-highway experience for our anniversary, so after MUCH ..."research, we settled on "A Bed of Roses." It was a wonderful experience and we wished we'd been able to stay twice as long as we did! On the advice of others we booked the "Red Rose" room... a very spacious (actually "huge") room with amazing views, private, private deck, surrounded by greenery and woods on all sides, and a large bathroom with jacuzzi tub. DirecTV with flat-screen HD TV, Amish fireplace, big closets, reclining chairs, futon, Cal King bed, high beamed ceilings... we just loved hanging out in it.   "I had a goodt deal with Groupon for a two night stay, but photos can be deceiving and you may not always get what you expect. In this case, I was pleasantly surprised. No problem with check-in/check-out with my Groupon...plenty of parking, free wi-fi, pool, hot tub, and even a sauna. The room had a ..."microwave and a refrigerator and it was clean, though a little dated. There is a "continental breakfast" with waffles, yogurt, fruit, cold cereal, oatmeal, (weak) coffee, juice, muffins. Oakhurst has many restaurants, stores, and even movie theaters.   "This hotel is super! The rooms are clean and fresh. The air conditioning and heating systems in the rooms work very good. Every room has a very large "dorm style" fridge that has an excellent freezer section, they work superbly. The large wall-mounted flat screen TV's have directTV with HBO etc.,..." there are also coffee makers in every room. The showers are warm and water pressure is great. The cleaning staff is very courteous and quick. The ladies at the front desk are some of the sweetest people I have ever met. The morning breakfast they provide is ample. They provide coffee and several juice choices. You can make your own waffles, toast, bagels or english muffins. There are several choices of cereal and muffins. It is a great start if you are going to enter Yosemite Park for a hike.
