  "Booked this trip based on the reviews here and manager replies and was not disappointed. 5 hours from L.A. is a bit of a haul but this was a nice alternative to the standard hotels in Monterey and Carmel. We rented a junior ocean front suite and as other have mentioned it may be ocean front but..." the "front" is pretty far away and it was more like "ocean view" or "partial ocean view" as unless we looked to the left, we were staring at a sand dune. The beach itself is spectacular. No, it's SPECTACULAR. Nobody around for miles. We saw MAYBE half a dozen people on the beach our entire 3 days here. Beautiful, tranquil, peaceful. But expensive. At 350 a night (plus tax) on the weekend, is it worth it? Haven't decided yet. We opted to stay an extra non weekend day at 280. The junior room was nice, but not great. The pullout sofa and king bed were enough for our family of 4. Bathroom a bit small, but it does have separate tub and shower which is a plus. Outdoor patio ... " More >

  "Check in was excellent - friendly service. Ample free parking. Room was comfortable. Bathroom was not very clean but we were prepared with our own Clorox Wipes so nothing a quick wipe down didn't fix. A 3 minute walk to the beach, literally just round the corner. Included Breakfast is a definite ..."plus. We were on the 3rd floor and had issues accessing the free WIFI inside our room (RM 321) but was able to connect directly outside of the room. In conclusion, we will stay again and would recommend if you're not too picky. We did not use the spa since we had the kids with us. - Family with a 1 yr and 5 yr old. " More >
