  "Perfect weekend getaway for my husband and I. Hotel is right on the beach. Loved that we could fall asleep to the waves crashing right outside. Peaceful. Tranquil. The front desk was very accomodating. There wasn't a dvd player in our room originally, but when we asked the front desk they were able ..."to give us one for our room. We stayed in Dunes Beach, however, would not stay in that particular room again. The room is beautiful, with a gorgeous view of the ocean, but, absolutely NO privacy! Couldn't really take advantage of the view because we kept all the curtains closed since anyone could see directly into the room. We've stayed at this Inn before in one of the lighthouse rooms. Prefer the lighthouse over the beach house. Despite being disappointed by the lack of privacy with Dunes Beach, still had a marvelous stay. Breakfast is yummy. Close to restaurants near the marina. Recommend the fried calamari at Mezza Luna and the Fish Trap for good old fashion fish and chips! " More >

  "We came to Half Moon Bay for my nephews wedding. Having never been to this area we were pleasantly surprised to see how nice the hotel was and what a great location. Great restaurant next to the hotel. Rooms were spacious and we had no issues with the bed. Slept fine. I would recommend getting a roo..."m not on the first floor for a better view. Hotel staff was very nice and professional. Given my short stay I have only a few comments for improvement. The continental breakfast is just that. Very limited with breads, juices, some fruit and coffee. Keep your expectations in line with what's offered and its adequate to get a start on the day. The other problem I had was not with the hotel but getting out of the hotel. The highway is extremely busy and making a left turn (even with a turn in lane) can be extremely harrowing. Sometimes it would take over ten minutes to get a clear lane. I would recommend this hotel to others and plan to rebook when in the area again. " More >

We also enjoyed Purissima Creek (about 4 miles away) with its beautiful Redwoods! The complimentary breakfast including eggs, sausage, fruit, toast, waffles, etc was pl..."entiful and delicious. Hotel staff was very friendly! Our room faced the neighboring golf course; we were able to sit on the large balcony and watch. The bed was relatively comfortable and the room was clean. The price was a bit high for an older hotel but it's because of its location. We would definitely stay there again. " More >
