  "The only thing we didn't like about Tin Lizzie was leaving. Sheran and David are a match made in heaven and they make your stay heavenly. Their victorian B&B is charming and spotless clean. Not only were the breakfasts outstanding but Sheran worked so hard to accommodate my eating preferences. S..."heran and David have wonderful stories to tell and great advice about seeing Yosemite. Taking a ride in one of David's Model T's was the cherry on the sundae. One suggestion-go to Tenaya Lodge for dinner. It is right down the street in walking distance and there are plenty of options for delicious food at reasonable pictures. Tin Lizzie was one of our all time favorite stays! " More >

  "This is probably the second nicest hotel in the Yosemite area. Ahwahnee, while pretty expensive, appears to be worth the extra cost due to its location and quite frankly, it is a reallly beautiful hotel. Tenaya is a bit expensive, and the rooms are just average. They have three in house restauran..."ts- which basically all sell the same thing only with different prices. But the food was good. If you want a nice place with full service, you can't go wrong with Tenaya. However, next time we would probably stay at the Ahawanne (even though it is damn expensive!).... Also note, it is a 35 mile drive to the valley floor (which takes about a hour to drive). I was not aware of that when we booked (my fault, but i don't think there is a hotel this nice any closer).
