"My husband and I have been here a few times and we love it. We've stayed at the Oaks and the Breezeway. The Oaks is smaller and more of a studio cottage secluded atop one of the higher hills. The Breezeway has two bedrooms and two bathrooms and would be perfect for two couples or a single couple pre..."ferring more space. Both cottages are simple and understated on the outside and clean and updated on the inside. Both have fully stocked kitchens and quaint touches like books and board games and a fridge containing milk, apple cider and a bottle of wine for your visit.
The Other Place is difficult to find in the dark if you've never been here. It is, however, the perfect spot for couples looking for a quiet and secluded get-a-way in the country. It's remote and extremely private (you could go your entire visit without seeing anyone else). We passed three deer on our drive in. The views are outstanding and it's a great place to unwind, cook your own meals, hike around a bit and connect w...

"Luckily before heading off from San Francisco on a quick vineyard tour, we met some people who pointed us in the right direction for both hotels and vineyards. This hotel (approx. 2.5 hours north of SF) was a gem... We arrived late, people were already eating in the restaurant/bar area, and the com..."fortable attitude of the staff who welcomed us was just what we needed. Three of us traveling, sharing a room, all tired and two of us had a cold coming on - so we needed some nurturing - and this is what we got. The room wasn't big, but quite sufficientt - bathroom clean and good size. The hotel bar had locals sipping some of the delicious wines from the region - and we were offered some local cider to start off the night. We had a choice of eating in (by the fire) or crossing the road to a recommended restaurant - as you can imagine the option to take up home cooking for $44 per head was a winner - and we were not unhappy. Food was delicious. Slept well and journeyed on the next day.

"I spent a weekend here for the Pinot Festival. It was one of the best hotel experiences I ever had. The grounds are beautiful and welcoming. We stayed in the Pump House, a stand alone cottage with a big deck that overlooks the garden. That's where we hung out and drank the locally produced hard ..."cider we got at the hotel bar. The room itself was kind of small, but it was so cool and eclectic, we didn't mind. Metal, wood and glass make the room a piece of art in some ways. The shower experience can not be explained, only that it was the best shower I ever had. If you stay here, you must have dinner here too. It's simply the best and worth every penny. I can't wait to be back!
