Already when driving up the small road to this place you know it will be special, and indeed first impression is WOW : a huge square manor house, with the lady of the house, Rosita, greeting us from her balcony. Such ..."a warm welcome, we immediately got a tour of the several rooms (and the small museum), what a wonderfull place, you easily understand why people do weddings over here. Everything has so much history in this place, you don't know where to look first. Beautifull flowers all around in the gardens, a nice pool, great views.... Our room was in one of the old stables, very comfortable and quite. We sat most of our late and lazy afternoon next to the pool enjoying the sun and Rosita even brought us some fresh pressed juices, very thoughtfull.   "We stayed in Bannata in the middle of May for a couple of nights. Bannata is simply a wonderful place. It is an old country house where once farmers used to live. It is has now been renewed with taste and simplicity. The owner, lady Nietta, is a very kind and passionate woman. We thought that the s..."ervice was excellent and the room too, silent, clean, comfortable ...The meals were perfect offering a wide range of local and fresh products. The garden is the heavenly bit, so many flowers and plants; truly a corner of paradise. And it must be even better now when the the swimming pool is opened! Bannata also enjoys a very convenient position being very close to Piazza Armerina and the famous Villa Romana. We find the unhappiness expressed by, fortunatly, only few other guests truly uncomprehensible; an insult to the beauty of this Bannata. " More >

  "Hard to find but worth every penny. Location is nice, and our room was big, clean and had a big bathroom. Our room, called Proserpina if I remember right (every room had different names), was designed for four people, had enough space and had pretty comfortable bed. Elevator was a bit creepy, but wo..."rked :) We couldn't find a parking spot so the owner took our car and searched for a parking spot. Only bad thing was the check out - we had to pay the room with cash, credit card machine didn't work. " More >
