  "Drove to Kalavryta from Patras and did a lot of the route on the Motorway which was a lot quicker and it was not too busy. Hubby tried to turn off at first sign for Kalavryta, but it was the 2nd one according to Google maps we took with us and it must have been the right one as I remembered it from..." the last time we were here. Stayed in a different place this time, and it took us a while walking around trying to find it, as it's just on the outskirts, but it is just lovely walking around Kalavryta as it has a lovely friendly feel to it, the sun helps of course and there was a market in the street which was nice to see. It turned out that our Hotel was just opposite the petrol station we had stopped at on the way in and had admired the building and not realised it was our Hotel!! and there was a helpful "Hotel Finder" board on the front down by the Train Station. We did the train trip the last time we stayed, so did not bother this time, but really good to do, but give yourself time ... " More >
