"my experience and the hike was awesome. I misjudged the hike and when we went down it took me almost six hours to get to the falls. i was tired and exhausted but the first time i looked at the falls all my strength returned back. The hotel seems like is always reserved so we had to camp and i ahve n..."ever camped before so i was under prepared for that too. the helicopters operate only on thursdays fridays, sunday and monday and i was getting out of the reservation on saturday so i had to get horses. i have never ever been on a horse and the people were nice enough to help me manage them. I actually thought the people were nice enough ( may be because i was expecting them to be down right rude- based on previous reviews). They showed me my way and whenever i greeted them , they greeted back ( what more would i want). i kept my questions to minimum and just enjoyed the nature rather than people. i do think that they should put more signs in the hiking trail because it seems never ending. ...

"I went with some friends two weeks ago, and it was perfect conditions. The water was warm, the nights were a little cool, but the temperature during the day was around 80. We visited Navajo, Havasu, Mooney, and Beaver Falls. Overall, we had an incredible trip. Here is a short video that highlights o..."ur experience. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JWPSyFptntE

"The lodge is average but clean and comfortable after the hike. Havasu falls are stunning and so worth the hike in!! The hike took us about 3-4 hrs with lots of stop for pics and drinks. It was a fairly easy-moderate hike for us. Took us the same amount of time going out. It is a pretty sandy hike bu..."t nice wide paths and if you can walk, you can do it. The lodge was difficult to book and took me many times trying to get through on phone. I booked only a few weeks in advance but the lady said I got lucky because she had a cancellation. The total price for park fees and one night accomodation was about $240. You can't check in until 1pm. It's about 2 miles further from lodge to falls. The cafe in town is mostly fried food and nothing special but will do the job. The fry bread is delicous. There was s amll store in village selling water, snacks etc. Havasu falls are amazing and you can swim and play in them. Well worth the hike in!!
