  "We were looking for a good hostel for a three night stay in Mendoza and this one caught our eye because of the good value of the dorms. The place is very very clean with an excellent DVD selection (HOORAY), about 15-20 minutes walk from the centre of town (not that you'd actually really want to go t..."here, it's all fast food restaurants and discount underwear shops) but it does mean you have three supermarkets within walking distance. The dorms are cleaned every day and very well-maintained. Beds are clean and there are big rucksack-sized lockers for each person in the dorms which made securing stuff really easy. Hostel staff were very very friendly and helpful. There's a great common area and a great functional kitchen. The breakfast which is included is delicious and a bit different from the usual fake plastic white roll and luminous jam: nice coffee, chunks of homemade bread with two different homemade jams and homemade cake and fruit juice. The rooms were basic but just right for what you use it for, the hostel itself was amazing; great common rooms, kitchen was nice, outdoor patio was brilliant in the evening (perfect for the free wine hour). But aside from the location, the service, the build..."ing, the food, the biggest value to this hostel is the staff. Laura was such a sweetheart. She helped us out so much every day and made us feel at home, Jarek was fantastic and so kind and professional as well. They always answered the questions and problems we had. And of course the hostel owner Manuela, her stories and experiences really added life and atmosphere to the hostel. And bottle after bottle of wine helped too ;) thank you all so much.
