The view from the "dining room" of the beach is amazing and the walks up and down the beach in either direction are well worth while. My favorite walk was down the beach road and back....lots of monkeys and a couple of coati and plenty of beaches along the way for swimming or simply watching the surfers, many of whom are quite skilled. Lyn's assistance prior to the trip is essential. The maps, grocery list, and tips were a tremendous help in ensuring that everything went smoothly for us.   "My husband and I just spent a wonderful few days at Ojo Del Mar. After 18 days in Costa Rica, this was our favorite spot. (Note: the roads have all been redone in the last month, so driving there is not at all a problem anymore and it only takes 30 minutes to get from Puerto Jimenez to Ojo Del Mar n..."ow). 10 minutes after arriving, two troupes of monkeys (spider monkeys and squirrel monkeys) were swinging through the trees by our cabin. What a treat to see! There were also beautiful red macaws flying above. When we went into Corcovado for a hike the next day, the guide said, "Oh - you're staying at Ojo Del Mar? Then you've already seen all the wonderful wildlife!" We really picked the best place to stay for wildlife viewing.
