  "We stayed at Casa Gecko for the month of February 2013. This was our third trip to Tamariindo and this place comes as close to perfect as we have found! Although the location is extremely close to the beach/ocean, it sits in a location that is hidden from the prying eyes of people passing by. It ..."is by far the safest place we have stayed! The property is gated and there is even space inside the gate for a car if you have a rental. It is next door to a wonderful bar/restaurant that serves food/drinks all day. There is a laundry area, a pool, a built in gas BBQ with a relaxing (covered) seating area nearby to eat or gather to relax and have drinks out of the sun. The studio has just about everything you could need for your stay. The furniture is clean and stylish, the floors are tile, the kitchen is well appointed and the bathroom is spacious. There is maid service, a gardener and a night guard..... which gives you the feeling that someone is always keeping an eye on your things.... " More >

  "I can't say enough great things about Harry and El Escondite. I feel so lucky to have found his place as it was the perfect little retreat. Best pool in town..refreshing, deep and cold. The rooms are huge and have everything you need to enjoy your trip..kitchen, bathroom, music, fans, ac, mango tree..." outside your room with a hammock underneath. And then there's Harry. I feel like I have a new friend for life. Whether we were cooking dinner together, enjoying an afternoon cocktail and a swim, or watching the sunset at his favorite beach bar, he made sure we all were having a good time and treated us like old friends that had come to visit his home.
