The room was big, it had basic furnishings but everything that we needed and the extra floor space was great to lay out surfing gear or do some yoga. The grounds are really nice and the pool was well kept and always clean, just watch ya head on the way to it with the low hanging roof. Resturant there had good food at a good price. Its right near impossibles and not far from padang padang, i hired a scooter from Medori for 50,000 a day which i felt was reasonable as it was brand new with only 95kms on the clock. If your staying anywhere on the bukit just hire a scooter, it makes everything easier. I would def stay here again. I have stayed in 6 different places on the bukit over there years and this is my new favourite. " More >

  "Stayed for one night at the start of our trip. Was a great place to unwind and relax after a long flight. Bungalow was lovely(with an outside bathroom which is fun but not practical for a longer stay) and the gardens and pool area were beautiful. Food and juices were very good and reasonably priced...". The bungalows are a short, 10 minute walk from Padang Padang beach (steep steps down) and a taxi ride away from Uluwatu. Germaine and her staff we very helpful and arranged our car onto Ubud. All in all, a lovely place to stay and nothing to criticise aside from it being a little too expensive compared with other places we stayed which were equally as good! " More >

  "We had planned our 10th wedding anniversary at bali a destination we had always wanted to do but were always put off by the connectivity issue. Delhi doesn't have a direct flight to bali and a 10.5 hr red eye with a stop over was the only way. With an infant and a nanny tow we bit the bullet. But b..."oy was bali worth it. Just fabulous but the icing on the cake was the stay at the Alila villa uluwatu which coincided with the actual anniversary. Simply put the best hotel experience we have ever had in our life. Certainly very pricey 700 usd for a single bedroom villa and an actual spend of appx 1100 use a day is what you should be ready to shell out after your stay as you never end up leaving the hotel. Certainly worth every penny. The experience began right at the check in where whom we though was a very friendly front office staff of the hotel spraying our face with a welcome face spray turned out to be Sean the GM.
