The rooms were big enough and also provided free internet access. We also found oxygen cylinder in our rooms that gave us sense of safety in the high altitude area. It's located in city centre. We went outside for meals and still had time to wandering around. Hot dishes ordered for table of people in restaurants were good for tables but never the buffet type in the main hall. We left the next morning heading to the highest mountains and came back another day. It was so good to stayed in this "best" hotel in Shigatse. I can even say this place is better than Kyichu Hotel where we stayed in Lhasa. Let's tell you about some facts: 1) The room. I've seen both: standard and suite. Both are clean and quite big. 2) The stuff. Bothkinds of rooms are stuffed with AC, TV, WI-FI and other small features, which make travelling nice. Suite room has a jacuzzi, but it doesn't work properly. 3) The location. Unfortunatelly the location is not so nice, quite far from the main attractions. Otherwise I would give them five stars. 4) The restaurant. Restaurant has English menu. Food is average, but their yak steak is incomparable. 5) Night life. The décor is mostly Tibetan and is clean, we did not encounter any hot water problems as described by the other reviewers. Breakfast is buffet style which includes both Chinese and Western choices - basic and adequate. We stayed on the first floor and it was quiet and had a nice rest.
