We ducked inside to get out of the blizzard, and to call a tow truck. While we waited for the tow to come over from Jackson (and with the closed pass it took 5-6 hours), the staff and guests at the Teepee made us feel right at home. We cozied up next to the fire, the lodge manager brought us beer, and the guests in the lodge even invited us to dine with them!   "50th Birthday Bash - Fabulous Fun For All Ages!!"
  "Our family loves to ski Targhee and we have enjoyed staying at the teepee over the years. Including my husband's 40th birthday in 2003. We packed the place with young and old alike and had a wonderful time. Of course in 2013 when my husband was turning 50, he wanted to go back to the teepee. We ..."knew things had changes and did worry that is might not meet expectations. We were wrong, the teepee still ROCKED IT!! Our special weekend was FABULOUS!! The rooms are charming, the teepee is magical and the quality time you can spend there with your family and friends is worth more than money can buy. The teepee staff did fine breakfasts. We brought some apres' ski sancks and a keg, then hired a great local caterer for dinner.   "Honestly we didn't stay at the resort. We took a shuttle from Jackson and skied for the day. I liked it better than Jackson Hole. I am not a very good skier and it was better for me. It had snowed a foot overnight and the trees made it one of the prettiest places I have ever been. What was really c..."ool was that you could also ski thru the trees better than anywhere I have ever been. It was cheaper to ski here even with the cost of the shuttle. I believe it cost $99 for the shuttle including the lift ticket and they picked us up right from the hotel in Jackson. " More >
