  "My husband and I just spent four fabulous days in Rio and staying at the Casa Beliza was a highlight of our stay. The home is exquisitely beautiful (just like the pictures), the grounds and view over the city stunning, and each room nicely decorated and private. We loved waking up to the sound of ..."birds and going for our morning swim in the pool, followed by a delicious breakfast on the terrace served by the friendly staff. Bindu and Antoinne are just lovely, and they went out of their way to find out what we were interested in seeing and doing and then tailored their suggestions to meet our unique needs. We especially enjoyed the one day tour they arranged with one of their drivers (who spoke perfect English)- we learned so much about the culture and history while enjoying all the sites. Sainta Theresa itself is just a short taxi ride to the city/beaches/jungle, and has its own unique character and charm. Loved it! We could not recommend this place more highly! " More >

  "This small,>60 room hotel was perfect for my week in Rio with a family member. The hotel has a great location, a half block away from Ipanema Beach, 1 1/2 blocks from Ipa's shopping district on Visconde Avenue and in easy walking distance from cafes, bars and restaurants. The neighborhood feels s..."afe, posh-ish without being obnoxious. Hotel staff are friendly, have a bit of facility with English and are very patient with non-Portuguege speakers. The hotel has been renovated so the rooms are sleek, clean "International-style" and very beach-friendly. The room was small but beautiful and efficient. Excellent bathrooms. Very nice breakfast buffet with juices, fruit, sausage and eggs, made-to-order-omlettes and those great little Brazilian rolls that are so buttery/cheesy, freshly baked.
