  "If you want to rest away from the buzz of the town, this place is great. It is just a minute walk from the beach, between two areas of the city with small markets five minutes walk away to buy a few supplies. The region is low income, but there were police cars around, we felt safe and we saw no "re..."d flags", despite being obviously tourists. Owned by a Swiss couple, it is a small hotel with 8 rooms; it is very nice and impeccably clean (maybe swiss people deserve their reputation). The garden and grass are trimmed, the pool always clean, rooms cleaned every day too. I took one of the two simpler rooms (ground level - no balcony, no kitchen), and it is great value: it is one of the cheapest I could find online, yet it had comfy bed, private bathroom, ceiling fan, split AC, TV, small fridge, and an all-useful small locker (enough to fit all my valuables - wallets, cell phones, 7" tablet, compact and small DLSR camera). Sean quite rough so maybe not suitable for very young or very old - but so warm! Plenty of beach sunbeds and parasols. Pool great. Room was a bit tired looking - co..."uld've been smarter. No safe in wardrobe as in other Best Western hotels. Room large and space for extra bed for our friend. Breakfast plentiful. Ate lunch here too - not that good - omelette very oily and had ham in it which I'd not ordered; burgers poor quality. If eating in the evening go for the all you can eat buffet (which some of my friends did) as is so much food - if you have a big appetitie - just 47 reis. They don't take money here - it's all added to your final bill. Taxis into town are 10 reis - and just a few mins drive away. Or walk along beach during daylight - takes about 40 minutes.
