  "It's a good hotel for a weekend, very clean, free parking. The building is new and the localization is great. The bed is confortable, the shower very good. If I return to Poços will stay in ibis again."

  "As we approached this lovely historic hotel in a late model sedan I felt out of place. We should be in a late 1930's model Packard or Cadillac and should be dressed, not in jeans but in coat, tie and fedora, with my wife in gloves and silk traveling suit. But alas those are the days of Cary Grant ..."and Lana Turner! So back to the future we go and step into a restored bit of a bygone era. You arrive at the hotel which is surrounded by a well kept and lovely city park. Enter the lobby to restored mosaic tile floors, original furnishings and really friendly and helpful staff. We had been here 12 years ago and found it a sad old dame, but now she has undergone a historic preservation and is very period correct. The palm gallery, the thermal pool, (Pocos de Caldas is a historic town which grew in the caldron of a long extinct volcano, thus, thermal pool), classical ballrooms and hidden interior gardens make this an adventure.
