  "Hotel location couldn´t been better: right in front of an excellent and beautiful beach (calm, green-cold waters and very clean, golden sands), close to seafood restaurants (the hotel has a good one called O Descobridor), ice-cream parlors, shops, an elegant shopping-mall but in a quiet neighborhood...", even during Carnival period. It is very pleasand walking or jogging on the boardwalk which runs the whole beach lenght (about 5 or 6 Km I guess). Room had great ocean views, a small equiped kitchen, a bit dated decor but still, quite confortable (they are in the process of replacing the small-old fashioned room´s tvs for a bigger LCD one - our room had the old type). Perfect and quiet air conditioning and nice to sleep listening to the sound of the waves right in front. Very nice pool on the top floor with worderfull beaches and city views. Breakfast had a big sellection of fresh fruits, iogurts, cheeses, juices, breads, cakes, and also a few hot dishes options, all very good. It lacks a ... " More >

The roof-top pool is immaculate, never crowded and offers a wonderful view of Vila Vehla and the historic Convento de Penda. The Bank of Brazil is across the street, next to it is a small grocery store, 2 blocks further east is the beach. A pharmacy is across the street. Within 2 blocks north on Hugo Muso Ave. are very good restaurants (terrific Brazilian pizza), LaBasque ice cream shop and gift shops. The free breakfast at the Champagnat is so Brazilian, so wonderful, so well cared for that I weep when I think about it.
