  "Excellent overall. The staff and room were incredibly beautfiul! However, I felt that my stay could've been greatly enhanced by the addition of cookies in the afternoon. At a previous B & B, the cookies they served were not only delicious, but made me feel at home."

  "First, let me say that management needs to contact Trip Advisor to change the property listing name to "Ashland Hills Hotel Suites" and also change their gigantic "Windmill Inn" freeway sign to avoid creating needless confusion. No worries though, we finally found the place and the friendly staff quickly remedied the reservation problem. Now on to the review..... Don't be put off by the appearance at the entrance. Drive on down to the office and get a room - You'll be pleasantly surprised! This large complex was apparently a Windmill Inn until fairly recently. It has multiple buildings and what appears to have been a thriving conference center. Someone spent a bundle on it all and it was obviously a very nice place.   "A Beautiful Inn and a Thoughtful Inkeeper"
  "The signs are obvious when you arrive. The garden is well tended, with comfortable spots to settle. The public rooms are welcoming, with none of the fussy clutter that is so common in this species of accommodations. And, the rooms are an indication of the great care the innkeeper, Ellen Campbell,..." takes with the place. There is a dark wash cloth for makeup removal, good towels, robes, well placed lighting,and a choice of pillows, among many other things. Beyond the bones, Ellen and her staff are as warm as they are efficient. Breakfast is delicious and varied (with great respect paid to any dietary restrictions--as long as you let them know). During our visit folks lingered to chat among themselves and with Ellen, who knows all there is to know about the local attractions. In sum, even this good hotel loving and generally B&B avoiding guest left happy, and determined to return and to recommend to others that they visit. High marks in all respects. " More >
