  "We stayed for 9 nights at the Halaveli in March 2013, after spending 5 nights at the Moofushi. The Moofushi was lovely, but we feel the Halaveli was the most superior of the two resorts. We stayed in an overwater villa at both resorts, and the Halaveli overwater villa was stupendous. It had two en..."ormous rooms, the main bedroom, which also had a dining area & mood lighting, and the bathroom with a huge bath and huge separate shower. The outside decked area also had a dining area, where we ate lunch everyday overlooking the stunning Indian Ocean. But I think the prize goes to the large private infinity pool, where we often lazed during the heat of the day sipping sparkling wine, whilst watching the birds and predatory fish prey on the young sprat that were shoaling in the shallows under the villas.   "ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS - hotel was a brilliant 5*plus - staff really willing to help & make sure our holiday was as perfect as it could be. The water villa was super - well laid out & large with good free room facilities not always found in the better hotels, ie unlimited tea & coffee, internet access..." & video on demand films - we had lovely large fairly private deck area (only over looked if people from neighbouring villas went out into the lagoon swimming) but this didn't cause any problem whatsoever & we certainly didn't feel 'spied' upon! We think that the even numbered villas are possibly the better positioned (we were in Villa 40) as they had the sunset view but that is purely a personal preference. The choice of 3 restuarants within hotel was good although one was hard to book a table in but often had cancellations later in the day as people opted for the buffet night, so always try in the evening if you have been unlucky earlier on. There is literally not one staff member there that did not use my name and make us feel unique and special at all times. The amenities in the villas were amazing.. Everything and more you can and should expect from a 5 star resort.. Again at the end of the day it is all about the people and the staff and they were amazing.. You can really see they are well cared for and it translates into their outstanding service. Restaurants were also outstanding.. Buffets are extremely well throughout with incredible selections..
