Both came with self serve coffee and juice which was great! I could have the Japanese breakfast and coffee too. Mito is famous for natto a fermented, slimy soy bean dish which I don't like but there were lot of interesting things on the Japanese menu including a small bottle of a sweet/sour yogurt type drink. The banquet facilities were very nice. There were a few gift shops in the lobby. It seems to be a popular place for weddings.   "This was our first hotel in Japan. We were traveling using public transportation. Hotel was very easy 5 minute walk (or 3 min. taxi ride approx. $6) to Mito bus and train station- which is more than just a transport hub. There are restaurants and a large variety of stores to shop in. We don't sp..."eak any Japanese but were able to communicate easily with the hotel staff. Breakfast meals were free each day with a simple menu of either a western or Japanese style food. Twin executive room was quite comfortable. If you don't like to share toiletries from large bottles with previous guests bring your own. If you like better quality towels than 100- 150 thread count bring your own too.
