  "Visited for my birthday, Ras Al Khaimah isn't so pretty but the hotel was excellent. We were upgraded to a suite, on my birthday Housekeeping put balloons and a cake in the bedroom. The service all round was very good, helpful and pleasant staff. Faiz was our resident pool bar man and he was just ..."the best, insisting that I didn't move and that he was there to look after us and he certainly did. We went with Virgin all inclusive and that made everything easier plus we upgraded to Premium Club which has some nice added benefits. There is a VIP Virgin roof top bar and restaurant with personal outside air conditioning units - which was great. We were told that the hotel was fairly full but there was a feeling of space, mainly Russians and Germans but quite happy being in the minority. The main restaurant did a buffet breakfast, lunch and dinner - excellent food, huge choice and excellent wine .... constantly topped up.   "My Husband and I booked to stay here for three nights and we loved it so much, rather than stay elsewhere for our last night of our holiday, we cancelled and stayed on an extra night at the Al Wadi. The service was amazing as was all the staff. A special mention to our Villa Hosts Yudho and Caroli..."ne. They genuinely could not do enough for us from dawn to dusk. The Villa was absolutely stunning as was the views. We stayed in an Al Sahari Tented Villa and would recommend this if total privacy is what you are after. Our Villa 405 seemed to be the best location. The moon bar was incredibly romantic and the food in Safran was delightful but do get an outside table to soak up the desert atmosphere. The breakfast delivered every morning was enough to set you up for the day and once again thoroughly delicious. I would also recommend the in Villa BBQ. We had not booked this in advance as we did not realise we had to, however they still facilitated us and at the time we required. ... " More >

  "My husband surprised us and we arrived courtesy of a sea plane from Jebel Ali!! Wow what an amazing experience. RAK itself is not the most appealing of locations but once inside the Hotel it's 5* all the way. Staff go out of their way to make your stay special. We had two rooms (one for our boys,..."16&20) and these were very spacious and luxurious. Bathrooms were huge with bath and generous shower. The beach is lovely. Lots of space and beds. Pools were beautifully maintained. We didn't go all inclusive but did stay in the hotel for all our meals. Breakfast is amazing, so much choice. Gets very busy (lots of Russians) but staff seem to have things under control. We did stay during Easter and the hotel was pretty much full. The Italian restaurant was our only disappointment - looks incredibly decadent but the food was not great. Wonderful presentation but I had fish which was so overcooked it was charred.
