Service was really slow, and a dinner like we had screams for a bottle of wine, but we were not about to pay the astronomical prices (not all St. Regis fault). We began to get a sense of this excellent service after our very first email inquiry, which was returned with not ..."only the requested confirmation of our reservation, but a number of suggestions to assist us upon arrival, as well as an offer to store our extra luggage without charge at the hotel during our travels throughout Bali. When we finally did arrive at Ellie's, in addition to continued excellent service, we discovered immaculately clean, spacious, tastefully decorated rooms, good breakfasts, and a delightful little pool oasis. Ellie's was a good location for us, as we wanted a place near the airport, and Ellie's is only a fifteen minute ride from it.
