  "We were a group of fussy well-travelled girls used to the little luxuries and looking for an indulgent week of pampering and relaxation. We had high expectations and they were surpassed at every level. From the start the villa owner, John was responsive and patient with some of the extras we asked ..."for. In fact he went the extra mile and sorted many of the arrangements personally. (Thanks John!) The onsite Villa manager Parta is the epitome of the gracious service. He was wonderful to deal with and all the arrangements, including a complex matrix of airport transfers, a terrific biking excursion, a "jungle" walk, massage and beauty therapists and a yoga instructor were organised efficiently and to a high standard. Putu, the cook was amazing… seriously we wondered why we had any meals out, as without fail the in house meals were superb (especially the Indonesian dishes).   "We booked this on the advice of Flight Centre in Edwardstown S.A. And certainly was not disappointed. Our room faced towards the valley where the river flows, so nice to wake up with squirrels in the tree out near our balcony, the room was perfect, they come in and turn the bed down while you are at..." dinner! Breakfast on the terrace was sensational, so much to choose from, the menu changes daily. And monkeys in the trees while you eat. We had a Balinese massage and manicure during the stay, 10/10! The views from the infinity pool are to die for, the food, the surroundings are great. The service from the Alila staff was impeccable, when we arrived here my wife was suffering from food poisoning from Phuket, the staff were very caring and organised a visit from the local Doctor to see her. And thank you to the young local woman who works there ( I wish I could remember her name ) for being so attentive, friendly and genuinely caring to make our stay enjoyable. Will be back.
