The manager is a natural host - he arranged for us to get a cup of coffee when we'd come in from the rain and had a nice chat about the football! The hotel itself is nothing particularly sensational but it had everything we needed and is new, which makes a big difference here. Our rooms were clean, had nice big beds, slow wifi and erratic showers (sometimes hot, sometimes not). I don't understand the comments about the wood smells - we barely noticed it but actually like the new wood smell much more than other smells we've encountered on the trip anyway!
