The location is good although its a bit of a pain you have to go to the main office on the other side of town to pick up and drop off the key. Our apartment hadn't been cleaned when we checked in at..." 14:30 which was a bit annoying but they came later to change the bedding and towels etc. Apartment provides a lot of space and great facilities for cooking/eating at home which is useful as eating out all the time in Greenland can be expensive. The location of the Saqqarliit apartment is great as well with great views out on the fjord. Very quiet and nice building. Recommended. " More >

  "Everybody hates Nuuk, Greenland's shambolic and depressing capital. I actually quite liked it. Much of this comes own to the Hotel Hans Egede (HHE). Okay, the place looks like something out of Soviet Russia, but I found the rooms to be comfortable, warm, clean, nicely furnished and everything worked...". Decent breakfast included, pleasant staff, and a great (new) fitness centre. The hotel is not that cheap, but could be a lot more expensive considering there appears to be virtually no competition. In the centre of town, so walking distance to most of Nuuk's culinary and touristic delights, such as they are. There is also a bus stop right outside, so you can get anywhere else you need to go.
