  "We loved our one night stay in Hotel Patagonico. The hotel is a destination in itself - it's beautifully decorated in a Patagonian style (the living areas are spacious and there are plenty of little nooks to spend the afternoon reading a book overlooking the lake). The views are brilliant (althoug..."h unfortunately both volcanoes were covered in clouds during our stay). The restaurant was great - our meals were well-presented, the staff were very attentive and the menu was full of local produce. The spa is also beautifully done. Finally, we loved the bar with the central fireplace which was very cozy. The only downside was that the water in the shower was luke warm (in Puerto Varas in May, a hot shower is definitely needed!). " More >

  "This was a fabulous hotel. The room was large with a great bathroom and huge bed. The views across the lake to the volcanoes was very special, especially at sunrise. Breakfast was the best we had in two months in South America. The staff were very helpful."
