  "I could not speak more highly of a hotel than that of the China World in Beijing. Any request we made was handled immediately and with concern. I celebrated my birthday while staying there. At dinner, I was greeted with balloons and a special cake. The wait staff asked if the chef could prepare a sp..."ecial soup that is typically served for birthday celebrations. Of course I accepted. In addition they presented me with a handmade birthday card signed by staff and took pictures which they later emailed to me. This was all done simply because my husband just mentioned he wanted a nice table for us and our six accompanying guest. It was clearly above and beyond. What a wonderful evening it turned out to be! In addition, the hotel is gorgeous and the amenities are many. This was the last leg of our three week visit to China and truly it was a great way to end our fabulous experience! " More >

  "I stayed in this hotel for a few nights. Though it's quite far from the historic centre of Beijing (Forbidden City), it is minutes away by metro (line 1). The Tangla hotel is a modern luxury hotel. Buffet breakfast in the morning is excellent. Good food served in the other restaurants of the hotel (..."though I have some reservations concerning the Japanese restaurants).   "The Nikko New Century is a lovely hotel. The room is large and modern. Comfortable bed. Desk (with a non-adjustable chair), good light for shaving in the bathroom. The staff i super nice. There's free WiFi in the rooms and the lobby. Don't forget the Chinese don't allow access to the New York..." Times, Bloomberg, Facebook, or Twitter. The breakfast buffet is a huge with a mixture of Western, Chinese, and Japanese food. This is a Japanese chain. The bed is harder than in U.S. hotel chains but is very comfortableThere's no iron and ironing board. And for some reason there's a mirror in the shower. Of course it steams up as soon as you turn on the shower so it's hard to imagine what the purpose is. " More >
