He warned her that it was not so good, & suggested PJ as our first alternative. He was very nice to take us there & wait while my wife ran inside to check for v..."acancy...we were lucky. So we canceled one night of what may have been a terrible Hotel experience & ended up with one of the better Hotels we have ever stayed at ( including some 5-stars such as Ritz Carlton et al. Why? While the rooms were very immaculate, clean, & included nearly all needed amenity's...the service was what tipped the scales. It was tops! Anything & everying we needed (sometimes even before we knew we needed it) was provided for...& fast! The room was top notch, bedding was very new fresh & clean, although the slippers were a tad small for my size 12 American feet...the robe still fit fine. & the Balcony was a welcome perc for my smoker wife (yea, I know...wish she could q...   "Fisst of all, be aware there there are 2 forune hostels in seoul, the other being the fortune downtown. i was nearly fooled by this. we booked a family room which was described as having it's own bathroom in bookings.com site and it didn't. I was a bit peeved and gave out a little. however, the ..."place was only open a week or so and we seemed to have the place to ourselves. it did not have the facilities of some hostels such as abr and food etc. but the staff could not have been more helpful. the beds were lovely. the bunks seemed wider that the normal. the place is in a really vibrant area and the streets are jammed at the weekend with young people. great atmosphere and loads of restaurants and Bars. Be careful as well of directions on booking.com site. they are too vague. good map on Agoda site. my son is now living in daegu and says that he will return with his mates to this hostel so he was impressed. again, the staff were the big plus in this place.   "It's pretty easy to get to Namsan GH from the subway. I had previously stayed at Namsan 1. The porter was very efficiently sending the luggages up on his little motorcycle. Well, we had to walk of course. The first few climbs up the slopes were bearable.However, after a whole day of walking and expl..."oring, I changed my mind!! I was practically crawling up the slopes! The rooms were cozy, however, it got a little tight after the luggages were opened. There's free breakfast too! Don't expect too much though. You can choose between ramen and bread. As for the location.. Slightly further up the hill is the N-Seoul Tower cable car station. Downhill, is the Myeongdong subway. It takes less than 10 minutes to get over to Myeongdong's Shopping area! Well, book early to get Namsan 2 or 3, which is way more convenient! I've learnt my lesson. I'm going back again soon.. This time, I've managed to book Namsan 2!! Hooray!! " More >
