  "We travelled to Vanuatu with our 2 daughters 14 and 12 and stayed at Paradise Cove Resort in the April School Holidays for 8 nights. The bungalows are great, very spacious and with your own private hammock out the front. In the mornings you wandered down for breakfast ,beautiful fresh fruit, croissa..."nts, toasted bagettes and cereals. If you wanted to order cooked breakfast you could do that too. The restaurant is breachfront and the jetty is 100m away where we would go every morning after breakfast and feed the fish. We would snorkel straight off the jetty and the marine life was spectacular. You could use the kayaks at any time and if you are into diving the staff can arrange a dive trip and the boat picks you up from the jetty so there is no travelling into town. Paradise Cover Resort is about 15 minutes out of town but thats what we loved about it. Its so quiet and relaxing, after about 5 days into our holiday we felt like we had been there to 10 days it was a real holiday. The kids ... " More >

  "There is a heavy stench of smoke in the dowstairs lobby. I smoke but it was very noticeable to me. Our Harbour view room was nice enough, small, but did the job. We saw other reviews about the water in the shower going hot and cold very quickly, so we approached with caution and believe me it does. ..."The water pressure increases as it gets hotter as well so escape is a bit difficult. Trick was to have the temp a bit lower than normal to allow for those moments, but you still have to watch it and be ready to get out. At night we noticed a couple of cockroaches running around the room and then we noticed a lot more swarming my daughters soft drink can in the bin. Got rid of them all and hoped there were no more through the night..We ate at the restaurant several times and food was always good. Staff were pretty good at reception and restaurant staff were efficient and friendly. Overall it doesn't jump out and grab you but for somewhere handy to eat, sleep etc it was nice enough. " More >

  "This relatively new resort consists of near new self-catering accommodation. Whilst it is only 15 minutes to the cntre of town on the local bus (150vt per person) you are somewhat isolated if you are expecting a nice buffet breakie and do no want to do it yourself. Next door you have the Breaker..."'s resort and in the other the Le Lagoon, so you do have a couple of options to ea nearby. Remeber that Port Vila is a bit of adventure capital - so aot of restaurants don't open very late at night - in bed & ticked up by 9.30..... The staff are very helpful, the rooms are very clean and thepool is great. If you like to have a base and hire a car to travel around this location is ideal. " More >
