  "We stayed at Dar Jand for three nights in May. The owners, Janet and Andrew were welcoming and kind, and made our stay in Tangier very memorable. Andrew took us for an informative orientation walk in the medina, which made getting around very easy. We felt very much at home during our stay at Dar ..."Jand. The hotel is beautifully decorated, and there is an amazing view of the medina from the terrace. The breakfasts are excellent - with home made muffins and Tangier is often passed over by tourists, but our three days with Janet and Andrew made us realize what an interesting city it is – particularly its unique history as an ‘international zone’ in the 40s and 50s. Janet and Andrew can set up a nice guided tour of the medina, though it is hardly necessary, as it is easy to explore on your own – especially with the benefit of their insight and years of experience.   "A Fine Stay in Tangier at the Dar Jand"
  "I was a bit suspect at seeing the #1 Rating that Dar Jand had received until we arrived in Morocco and were greeted by Andrew.at the docks. After a short walk to Dar Jand in the center of the Medina, we were intoduced to Janet and taken upstairs to our rooms and then on up to their deck for tea and..." the magnificent views of the city. Janet and Andrew were the perfect hosts and their B&B was located in the center of the Medina within easy walking distance to the markets and shops that make up this interesting piece of real estate in this part of the world. Our introduction to Tangier was anything but the typical Hollywood version,that I'm sure ,deters many visitors from coming here. Andrew had some wonderful tips to finding our way about the city. Subtle markings to insure that we understood where we were in relation to the B&B.
