  "We booked our accommodation at Clare Valley Motel over the telephone and Lee confirmed immediately by email. We actually booked a queen room but on arrival had a look at the unit and upgraded to a king/spa bath unit because it was a larger unit. We never used the spa bath though. We stayed for fou..."r nights and had a lovely meal in their restaurant on the first night. As with most Aussie motels there are no cooking facilities in the units. We did use the barbeque on another of the nights that we were there as we get sick of eating out every night. Lee accommodated us well with utensils and lighting so we could see to cook. The next door unit had a well used spa bath, both early morning and late evening, and the unit outside our bathroom window was rather noisy when trying to watch television. The bed was comfortable and we enjoyed good nights sleeps. We enjoyed the many wineries and should have spent more time in the Clare Valley. " More >

The owners were very friendly and welcoming and we were very happy to find our room was very large after spending much of the day in the car. A queen size bed, a table and 2 chairs and a sofa meant we had plenty of ..."room. There was a microwave as well as crockery and cutlery for those who wanted to heat/prepare food. The motel was within easy walking distance to the shops, hotels, cafes etc. in Clare. It is also situated next to Knappsteins winery and brewery so my husband had no excuse for not visiting that winery. Parking was right outside each room. We had room 1 which was next to the laundry but we didn't hear any noise from there at all. All in all, a good place to stay and we would stay there again. " More >

A night dining at the top of hill restaurant provided us with friendly professional service topped off with an amazing meal prepared by the chef, Andre. The menu was designed to temp all tastebuds and didnt disappoint. An added touch was Andre, visiting each table to check on customer satisfaction, with steaks to die for there were no complaints only praise at our table. The owners, Lee and Jan could not have been better hosts for our weekend away. They were friendly, down to earth and accomodating.
