  "I stayed at this hotel recently for 1 week with a party of friends (we totaled 13 people, ranging in ages from 20s to retired). We stayed during our mission trip to Cancun and we also made use of the hotel's kitchen by "hiring" a cook and eating in the common/dining room. The hotel is very lovely ..."with an old Spanish villa feel but the service is very personal. Our room was cleaned daily. The experience at the hotel was very calming, as there is a pool and a beach right outside the hotel (be advised if you want to walk extensively on the beach to bring water shoes, they are much more convienent than flip-flops and much safer than bare feet). The ocean/sea outside the hotel has a very rocky floor but it is very comforting to just sit there. The hotel is also a 5 minute drive from the Isla Mujeres ferry, 10-15 minutes from Cancun, 15-20 minutes from the touristy area of Cancun and 30-45 minutes from Playa del Carmen (all the times are guessing, I didn't drive).
