We occupied 2 rooms, one facing the river, and the other faced the parking lot. Our 3 children were in the room facing the parking lot. It was slightly bigger than our room. My son said that it was a little warm because the window gets a lot of sun. There was an electric fan in the room, so it must get warm during the summer. Our room facing the river was comfortable.   "We stayed at the Best Western but had dinner here on our last night. The dining room was nicely decorated in a traditional way. it was a tad warm and the sun's glare was in my eyes some of the time. The service was attentive and friendly but not overly so. We were given little starters for free. Th..."en, one could make up one's own 2 or 3 course dinner from a list for starters, main courses and desserts. I liked my veal but the dessert was special, a brownie it was called. But it was not a plain one. All the dishes served were presented very nicely. For our group of 5, we had 3 starters, 5 main courses , 2 desserts , a bottle of wine and 2 bottles of mineral water.   "This is a small family run hotel,and the owners, Patrice and Sandra are wonderful. The rooms are small, but very clean and well kept. We were in France to make a short movie about my father who crossed the Selune River at Pontabault August 1, 1944. As he was crossing the bridge, he saw a salmon hang..."ing on the side of a cafe, and has dreamed of returning to fish the river since. It became a reality on this trip! We stayed here for 4 nights, and this was the best place we stayed while in France. The dinners here are amazing! The dinners here were the best we had on our trip. If you are into the Tour de France, the race goes literally right past the front door of the hotel. I give this small hotel my highest rating. " More >
