The hotel has lovely unobstructed views of the quay and within very easy walking distance of the centre. Our room was very comfortable, warm and very comfortable beds. We had breakfast included which was adequate and the hotel had a tea/coffee machine in the lobby so you had constant access to a hot drink. Free WIFI - code is given on arrival and any tours can be booked at the hotel reception. We ate in the town, finding a very nice restaurant called Surf and Turf.   "We visited Kirkenes under our own steam and had emailed the Snow Hotel to see if we could look around but not part of a group. This was possible. We arranged for a car to pick us up at our hotel, take us to the Snow Hotel, where we were given time to look around, have lunch at the Gabba Restaurant..." and the car to then pick us up again to return to our hotel. This was great as when we arrived at the Snow Hotel we were the only ones there - apparently the Hurtigruten Ship had made a detour due to bad weather. It was lovely and magical. We were given a drink and sat on the Ice chairs in the Ice Bar. We then walked along the two corridors and looked into all the rooms. There were beautiful ice carvings in each room - all different and the wonderful Ice Sculptures dotted around. The lighting was magical. The temperature is kept at minus 5.   "We stayed only one night at the Rica Artic Hotel. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The receptionists gave us a very friendly wellcome. Breakfast was excellent. The dinner was quite well, the local food was marked on the menue. We tasted the "reindeer-burger" and special berries, I never heard b..."efore as a dessert.
