The staff were very polite, friendly and helpful. The room was clean and it's set back off the motorway so you don't really hear the traffic either. I would recommend if all you're looking for is basic accommodation. Bit disappointed about the selection of TV channels available (you expect to get at least a news channel such as sky or bbc nowadays). Overall both myself and my husband were happy with the accommodation and still would have been had we paid the full £30 a night. " More >

  "we stayed in room 17 on sunday night. the room was clean, warm, quiet. We expect it to be noisy being a bank hotel and the location plus other reviews we had read but it was not. We had plenty of towels and had no problem getting an extra pillow. Staff were friendly and efficient, and check in was ..."exceptionally quick. There is no restaurant/bar here and is behind a service area which only had a costa coffee, so we went into Carlisle for breakfast. We came southbound so we had easy entry to hotel off motorway, but if you come northbound from carlisle, you will have to go passed the hotel and back down at the next junction. as in any Travelodge, we booked a twin room which comprises of a double bed and a bed settee as the other bed. this is not made up for you, and you are given a duvet and 1 pillow to use but we didn't get a bottom sheet. very sparse tea/ coffee facilities, and a Very small bar of soap (which smelt awful) was all that was provided although I think I read that other...
