We booked in at 5pm on a Saturday night and got a large room on the first floor very clean but not the normal modern furniture , the room did have a connection for a lapt..."op but no wi-fi in the room , it was a bit cold , but very nice to be honest , in the foyer /reception a big coal fire burns , which we took full advantage of with our drinks brought from the bar we watched some tv here and listened to some advice that the friendly staff gave us on where to go that evening ,we had dinner in the large ballroom , white Linen table cloths and napkins with silver cutlery did impress me , and the food was fantastic so fresh not one bone in the salmon , even are veg was silver served to us .   "My girlfriend and I stayed in this hotel on the 6th and 7th of May 2013. What a lovely place, if you can find it. It is not well signposted. We had to ask people in Ballyshannon where it was. It is about 5 miles outside Ballyshannon, down a single track road towards the sea. But, when you get there,..." the views are breathtaking. The weather was not great, but the Bank Holiday Monday was not too bad. There were plenty of walkers and fishermen. The hotel is all on one level, which was brilliant for my girlfriend as she walks using a crutch. We were in room 3. Everything you needed was there. The bed was very comfortable and everything was nice and clean. The only thing was that we did not have hot water for the 2 nights we stayed there. The staff were helpful but, somehow, the problem was not fixed. Maybe they had their minds on other things, as the Health and Safety people were due to arrive on the Wednesday!!!
