  "Arriving after midnight it was good to have someone to let us in - it would have been so nice to be offered a" refreshment " after an 18 hour day and 7 hours travelling - but we were late so cant complain Nice room with large cast iron roll top free standing bath and large powerful shower , in a r..."oom under the eaves on the second floor . The coffee making kit with caffetiere was a god send and a nice touch in the room . Breakfast was very good with fruit salad to be recommended and the Methuen arms full monte breakfast well good !! We found the staff slightly cool but may well have been our fault as we were so late arriving. I would stay again and the village is charming - literally out the front door . " More >
