"This was our third stay in the Ahhichatragarh Fort in Nagaur to attend the World Sufi Spirit Festival and first time in Ranvas. We had twice previously stayed in the Royal Tents and wanted to compare. We were not disappointed as the service is outstanding and the setting within these exquisitely re..."stored buildings, is amazing. We loved the pool area where we could relax and bathe at leisure, cooling off from the hot sun. The staff are very professional and attentive and the food simply delicious with plenty of varieties and tastes to choose from.
We were just unlucky with our room which for two people was extremely small with insufficient space to move and impossible to take a shower (we had to use the pool facilities). I believe we were given a single rather than the double we had booked.

"I've been traveling in India for over seventy days and have stayed at over sixty hotels. My night at Ranvas was the best. I was the only guest in a 32 acre fort. None of the guest rooms have a TV. The manager suggested there was one room with a TV that they do not rent but perhaps I would be interes..."ted. It was the haveli of His Highness Gut Singh ll, the Maharaja of Jodhpur. Yes. I received a private after hours tour of the museum. The highlight of the tour was the man in the red turban who carried ice water in case I grew thirsty. I don't normally go in for the over the top luxury treatment but India was a bicycle trip for me and after 4000 km on the Indian roads the friendly attentive service including a musician while I dined was perfect. It was mentioned that there is a Sufi festival in the fort in la...

"32 rooms or suites depending on the category and size( there are 3 types) complementing the significance of each queen in those days........when they were built. The king had many Raanis or Queens, thus the name Ranvas, which actually means Place of stay for the Ranis. So the complex of the queens has..." been rightly restored in a hidden part of the larger fort and decorated with everything possible to lend that experience.Open restaurant adjacent to the pool and central courtyard is royally lit up at night. The service no doubt will be par excellence in any place closely associated to Royalty in Rajasthan. The Rooms are not overdone but still rich.Even I remember the view from the top .....that of the larger fort walls and what laid beyond them .The loungers under the canopy .......privacy as if those queens still resided here.No room intrudes or overlooks the other.
