Importantly for me it was quiet - my number one priority. And as it turns out, it's minutes to pretty much everything. For shoppers, the DFO is about 4 minutes up the road. For travellers it's 10 minutes to the airport. For great restaurants and cinemas, the Manuka shops are about 3 minutes away (which means parliament house is just a few more minutes up the road. For my trip along to Weston took around 12 minutes For family travellers there's a good sized outdoor pool (unheated so challenging in the winter) and a kids swings and slides and additional stuff set that though old, seemed to be in good cond...   "This place is a bit out of town - and actually looks like an old caravan or re-locatable home park, which has had some new prefab units plonked in the middle of it ! There are obvious long term residents in their "houses' along the back fence, complete with flags and flowers and then there are the r..."ows of newish rooms/apartments ...... I was going to rate this place as average, but the condition and space of the units/rooms takes it to a "Very Good" rating. We were only there one night over a weekend and had booked a family unit, with a queen bed and a single. There was a modern bathroom between the two bedrooms and a good size kitchen/dining area. Large LCD TV and the usual kitchen utensils. This place is quiet, with little or no traffic noise and seems to have all the amenities you'd need for a longer stay. It would also seem to cater for conferences, with a large conference centre on site. The welcome was ok, with a map of the site and milk for tea/coffee given out. There... " More >

  "Have stayed here before a couple of years ago and had enjoyed my stay. Overall, the Motel hasn't changed much at first glance, but I did notice that the reception area has been modernised. Was pleasantly surprised at our unit...had booked for 3 adults, each with their own bed, and received a 2 be..."droom unit with a double, 2 singles in the other bedroom, and a single in the living area. It could easily have slept a family of 5 in comfort. Air conditioning in the living area was needed as it was very hot (40 degree days) and by leaving the bedroom doors open the cool air filtered through the unit. Bathroom was compact, just shower, vanity and toilet,but spotlessly clean and toiletries and towels replenished daily. Kitchenette was great and handy to make your own breakfast...didn't try the restaurant. Pool area looked good and there is also a BBQ area next to the pool. Shared Laundry available.
