My only real gripe is how much expensive the restaurant was at the hotel, €8 for a liter of water and €20 for breakfast when you can walk halfway down the block and get 6 liters for €3! We walked just down the street to a great little bakery that served a delicious breakfast for a quarter of the price they charge at the hotel and just around the corner is a grocery store we bought more water at.   "I stayed here with my family over the Easter break. The hotel is well located and very convenient. However, in common with many buildings in Germany, the unofficial smoking area was directly outside the front door. We arrived at the hotel to be "greeted" by a group of nicotine addicts taking their f..."ix. It was not possible to enter or exit through the front door without having to pass through a haze of cigarette smoke. Inside we had booked a non-smoking room, but had to get to it by passing through smoking areas. Once we had a better idea of the layout we established a route that kept us away from the smell of stale cigarettes. Breakfast was very good, spoilt only by the waffle chef who declared "fertig" at 9:00am as my children queued expectantly. We reminded him that breakfast was advertised until 10:00am as it was the Easter Holiday. Still "fertig" came the reply.
