  "An excellent base to visit the area"
  "We thought this was a very French hotel and much more interesting than one in an international chain. We upgraded from the standard room and our room was large with an enormous bed. One odd feature was the bathroom. The bathroom itself was lovely and big with an excellent shower and bath. The lo..."o was separate and the toilet was up a flight of 7 stairs (in the "loo room" itself)! It was so quirky we took a photo. Everything seemed very clean. The breakfast was French: hams, cheeses, yogurts, fruit, pastries etc which we found very good. It did not matter that it was not "full English" style - this was France. The staff were lovely and friendly. Although it was in the centre of town near the railway station it was not noisy. It was very convenient for the excellent restaurants in the town. The hotel provides a card for parking in an underground carpark nearby, with a cost per day. " More >

  "We were greeted by a bright happy attendant. She gave us details of our rooms and then went on to explain where the places of interest were located in the town. We found all the staff at the concierge spoke English and were very helpful and friendly. As we travelled to and from Arras by train and ..."then hired a car, the hotel was ideally situated within easy walking distance of the railway station and the Avis office.   "Located just off one of the main squares, the Ibis is fine for a couple of nights. The rooms are compact with a large very comfortable bed. We had a room that looked into a courtyard, so was quiet - with the exception of a cat that chose to make a racket each night. The AC (I thought) did not work -..." so checked at the front desk. I was told that it works when the sun shines, ?!, even still, we found it starting and stopping intermittently throughout the night, so eventually switched it off and opened the windows, hence the cat! We did not try the breakfast or bar, Car parking can be a bit tricky, best to return to Arras around 17.00, park on the side of the road near the hotel and pop a couple of € in the machine - that should see you through until 10.00 the next day. We would return and stay here - for a max. of 2 nights again. " More >
