I read with interest one particular recent TA posting with very negative comments. I have to say I don't recognise that hotel at all and commend everyone to read the managers response which is smart and to the point. This is a first rate hotel and I would be shocked if anyone had anything other than the best experience staying or eating here. The first thing to note is the "James Bond entrance" as my companion commented, as we swept up the drive to be met by a fabulous concierge who elegantly helped said companion out of the car, confirmed the bags to be extracted from car and smoothly took my keys.   "As a party of eight, we tried the Sunday Driver deal, which includes a round of golf on Sunday, dinner, bed and breakfast, then another round of golf on Monday morning. The hotel and rooms are wonderful - modern, stylish and with uninterrupted views over the gardens/golf course. We were supposed t..."o eat dinner in the Clubhouse, but were transferred to the Brasserie, which was much more convenient. The food was nicely presented, although one waitress seemed to be rushed off her feet while another was staring into space. The golf course staff were cheery and helpful, especially the Starter, and the only downside to the golf was the weather, but that's not Rockliffe's fault. Great trip. " More >

  "I treated my parents, sister and myself to a 2 night 3 day stay this week. From the minute we arrived to the moment of departure, we were treated like royalty. I had 10 members of my family to dinner one of the nights and they were also treated incredibly well. The staff are always smiling, happy..." to see you, and eager to do whatever you request of them. I travel all over the world and even the Ritz, Four Seasons and the Hilton didn't quite measure up to service, quality, dining and the amazing Spa. Every meal was perfect, the rooms huge and absolutely beautiful, the lovely grounds and the renovated Old Hall is a masterpiece in design. You can't go wrong with this place...absolutely phenomenal! I'll definitely be back and soon! By the way, if you need an excellent quality deep tissue massage...Peter is your man, he is a top notch Physical Therapist and made my 2nd visit to the Spa an exceptional one, thanks to him after many painful days with a strained neck muscle I'm now able to...
